Apple Intelligence reportedly coming to China in December, but without Siri AI

Apple Intelligence is reportedly set to launch in China by December, according to recent reports. However, the feature will not include Siri AI, marking a notable exclusion from the rollout. This move comes as Apple continues to expand its AI capabilities across its ecosystem, though with some limitations in specific regions.

Apple unveiled the HomePod mini 2 earlier this month, six years after the original model debuted. The new version includes several upgrades, such as improved sound quality and support for Siri AI. These enhancements are part of Apple’s broader strategy to integrate AI more deeply into its products and services.

According to supporting quotes from the evidence, the current S5-powered HomePod Mini will also receive Siri AI compatibility later this year, along with updates to iOS 27.2. This indicates that Apple is gradually rolling out AI features across its existing devices, ensuring that older models are not left behind in the transition.

The exclusion of Siri AI in China may have implications for user experience and feature parity across different markets. While Apple continues to develop and refine its AI offerings, the absence of Siri AI in certain regions could affect how users interact with Apple’s ecosystem. This may also influence how competitors position their AI features in response to Apple’s strategy.

Apple’s approach to AI integration remains a work in progress, with ongoing developments and updates expected in the coming months. As the company continues to refine its AI capabilities, users and industry observers will be watching closely to see how these features evolve and impact the broader tech landscape.
