Nvidia has denied reports suggesting it will begin small-batch shipments of a language processing unit (LPU) tailored for Chinese customers by the end of 2026. The company explicitly stated that there is 'no China-specific LPU product in our roadmap' and confirmed there are no LPU sales in the China market today.

The claim originated from a report by The Information, which suggested Nvidia was planning to roll out a Groq-based LPU for the Chinese market. Nvidia's response was clear and direct, emphasizing that the reporting was incorrect and that the company has no current or future plans for China-specific LPU products.

In May, Washington approved the sale of Nvidia's H200 AI chips to a limited group of Chinese firms, including Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance. However, deliveries of these chips only recently began, and the company has not indicated any similar plans for LPUs in China.
